On December 6, 1989, 14 women lost their lives at \u00c9cole Polytechnique de Montreal because they were women studying engineering.<\/p>\n

This year is the 30th anniversary of the massacre.<\/p>\n

Over the past 30 years, the statistics have shown that the number of women facing gender-based violence has risen, rather than declined. More than that, the age of the women has also expanded, as both younger and older women are being affected.<\/p>\n

Please join us as we remember these 14 women at UFV\u2019s annual candlelit vigil.<\/p>\n
