The UFV Cascades basketball teams strung together an impressive series of performances over the weekend, winning all four games against the UBC Okanagan Heat.<\/p>\n
The women’s team won 66-31 on Friday, and 65-52 on Saturday to remain at the top of the Pacific division of the Canada West. Game recaps can be found here.<\/a><\/p>\n The men’s team squeaked out a tough win 69-55 on Friday, before dishing out a 79-32 beatdown on Saturday. Friday’s win was the team’s seventh in a row, and broke a program record for longest winning streak. By holding the Heat to 32 points in Saturday’s game, the Cascades broke another program record, as well as the Canada West record (previously the lowest score by a team in a CW game was 46).
