Call for Faculty and Staff nominations<\/p>\n

The Secretariat office is calling for nominations for faculty and staff positions on Senate and the Board of Governors, for three-year terms beginning August 1, 2019 to July 31, 2022.<\/p>\n

SENATE
\nSenate is the senior academic governing body at UFV. Its main roles are to set policies and procedures concerning educational matters, and to act as an advisor to inform decisions made by the University Board. The Senate meets once each month at 2:30 pm on Friday of the second week in the UFV meeting schedule. Meetings alternate between UFV campuses. Senate members are expected to represent the Senate on at least two Senate standing committee.<\/p>\n

Faculty positions available:
\n\u2022 One member from the Faculty of Humanities, College of Arts
\n\u2022 One member from the Faculty of Social Sciences, College of Arts
\n\u2022 One member from the Faculty of Science
\n\u2022 One member from the Faculty of Health Sciences
\n\u2022 One member from the Faculty of Professional Studies
\n\u2022 One member from the Faculty of Access and Continuing Education
\n\u2022 One member from the Faculty of Applied and Technical Studies<\/p>\n

BOARD OF GOVERNORS
\nThe management, administration, and control of the property, revenue, business, and affairs of the University are vested in the Board. For further information on Board membership and its responsibilities, please view the Board bylaws, at ufv.ca\/board\/board-bylaws.<\/p>\n

Positions available:
\n\u2022 1 faculty member
\n\u2022 1 staff member<\/p>\n

If you are interested in being a faculty or staff member on Senate or the Board of Governors, please forward a completed nomination form, available online (https:\/\/www.ufv.ca\/secretariat\/get-involved-in-ufv-governance\/vacant-positions\/<\/a>), to the Secretariat office, via UFVSecretariat@ufv.ca<\/a>, or drop off in B303j on the Abbotsford campus, before the deadline of\u00a0 Mon, Feb 4, 2019 at 4 pm.<\/p>\n

Late nominations will not be accepted. If more than one nomination is received for a position, an election will follow.<\/p>\n
