\"\"Sichuan Study Tour<\/strong><\/p>\n

May 15-25, 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n

Travel to the heart of Sichuan, China, home of the world\u2019s giant pandas. Enjoy 10 days immersed in the capital city of Chengdu, China, with Visual Arts Professor Shelley Stefan.<\/p>\n

Students gain academic credit in drawing while exploring the Giant Panda Research Base, Sichuan teahouses, Buddhist temples, lotus ponds, ancient sites, art museums, and more!<\/p>\n

Students stay with faculty at the host campus of Sichuan Normal University, UFV\u2019s recent exchange partner. SNU campus is located right in the hub of Chengdu, a thriving and cultural city, home to the world-famous, spicy Sichuan cuisine.<\/p>\n

Learn traditional Chinese ink drawing at SNU College of Fine Arts, do Tai Chi sketching at sunrise, draw pandas in their natural habitat \u2013 have an experience of a lifetime while enjoying the art, culture, and cuisine of Chengdu, China.<\/p>\n

Students must register in one or more of the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. VA 113 — Introduction to Drawing — 3 credits (No pre-req\u2019s needed)<\/li>\n
  2. VA 421 — Independent Study: Painting\/Drawing — 3 credits<\/li>\n
  3. VA 221 — Drawing II \u2013 3 credits<\/li>\n
  4. VA 422 — Independent Study: Painting\/Drawing — 3 credits<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
