UFV Teaching and Learning<\/a> Director Maureen Wideman was recently elected to positions with two proactive post-secondary organizations.<\/p>\n

Wideman now serves as co-chair of the British Columbia Teaching and Learning Council<\/a>, a \"\"community of all B.C. post-secondary teaching and learning centres with \u2018a mission to provide local, provincial and national leadership on issues, challenges and directions around teaching, learning technologies, scholarly practice, student learning, and related topics\u2019.<\/p>\n

She was also elected to vice-chair, Communications of the Educational Developers Caucus<\/a>, a Canada-wide organization that prides itself on being \u2018a community of practice with a mission to facilitate the advancement and evolution of educational development as a field of practice and scholarship by communications, networking, professional development opportunities and advocacy strategies\u2019.<\/p>\n

Wideman joined UFV in 2014. She has a PhD in Education (University of Toronto), MA in Science, Online Teaching and Learning (California State University – East Bay), MA in Canadian Studies (Trent University), and a degree in Journalism (Ryerson University).<\/p>\n
