Tour participants will travel to Germany and Poland, where they will visit historical sites related to the Holocaust and its commemorations.<\/p>\n<p>The study tour will bring participants into contact with a variety of historical sites, including museums, religious institutions, memorial sites, and former concentration and death camps. Whereas the genocidal attack on European Jews during the 1930s-1940s is the focal point of the tour, participants will also have the opportunity to learn about the vibrant Jewish culture in pre-war Germany and Poland.<\/p>\n<p>Tour dates are May 1-May 11, 2017. The cost for the tour is $2,500.<\/p>\n<p>If you plan to register for this tour, please reply to <a href=\"mailto:Nicole.Klassen@ufv.ca\">Nicole.Klassen@ufv.ca<\/a> and <a href=\"mailto:Steven.Schroeder@ufv.ca\">Steven.Schroeder@ufv.ca<\/a> with the following information as soon as possible:<\/p>\n<p>1. Your student number<br \/>\n2. Your passport number and expiry date<\/p>\n<p>After you have sent this information, Nicole will enter your name and ID into the system, and you will be able to register for the tour via telephone (the information needed: Continuing Studies Holocaust Studies tour, CRN 20350). A $500 deposit will be required at the time of registration.<\/p>\n<p>Registration and the $500 deposit are required by Friday, March 17, 2017.
