Write a book about Canadian cuisine. In one week, Dr. Lenore Newman, whose book <em>Speaking in Cod Tongues<\/em> launched officially on Jan 12, has been interviewed by CBC&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/radio\/thecurrent\/the-current-for-january-11-2017-1.3930465\/from-cod-tongues-to-butter-chicken-pizza-lenore-newman-s-canadian-culinary-journey-1.3930573\">The Current<\/a>, had her book <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/life\/food-and-wine\/food-trends\/canadas-culinary-identity-faces-uncertain-future-as-climateshifts\/article33566059\/\">excerpted<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/arts\/books-and-media\/book-reviews\/review-lenore-newmans-speaking-in-cod-tongues-explores-canadian-cuisine\/article33615680\/\">reviewed<\/a> in the Globe and Mail, and been interviewed for numerous regional CBC Radio shows, including North by Northwest.<\/p>\n<p>Coverage is also coming in the Toronto Star and Vancouver Sun.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">&#8220;Yes, it&#8217;s been pretty intense,&#8221; notes Newman. &#8220;When I lived in California I used to surf, and this feels a bit like that &#8212; at some point the water just sort of carries you along. I&#8217;ve got some fun events coming up- including a CBC interview held at Vancouver&#8217;s culinary bookstore, Barbara Jo&#8217;s Books To Cooks, that will include some cooking (not by me)! Right now I&#8217;m doing a lot of CBC regional things as well.
