Creative Textile Prints Made by Fashion Design Students

Surface design students are learning how to discharge print.  Bleach is applied to dyed fabric to white or lighten a fabric.  Once the colour has been removed, a dye impervious to the bleaching agent is applied either by hand or with a block  to create interesting patterns and designs.   

Fashion Students Create Garments from Unconventional Materials

  Come to the fashion department to see the display windows celebrating Halloween.  Garments in the windows are made from unconventional materials.  You will see dresses made from CD disks, wine labels and wine corks, nylons, twist ties and many other materials used to create unique garments.
