A new study is available highlighting the importance of providing more timely and effective support and care for children who have justice involved parents. Though these children are relatively small in number, they are nevertheless important to consider since they tend to be the “forgotten victims of crime”, experiencing childhoods that are more likely to be fraught with disruption, difficulty, shame and stigma, and even trauma in certain cases.
