Last week’s University Commons House lunch buffet for faculty and staff was a hit. Check out one lunch-goer’s review:

A full house again at the University Commons lunch buffet for faculty and staff.

“A Salute a Venezia” was fine Italian dining without the fine Italian restaurant price and no need to wait for a table.

It would have been easy to stay much longer.

It was nice to have the entire hour to sit and enjoy the meal; drive time didn’t take a bite out of my break time.

Caesar salad had just the right amount of garlic in the dressing and the chefs were generous with the bacon. You can never have enough bacon.

Minestrone soup was perfect and it was nice to get both soup and salad with the meal.  Four courses are always fancy.

Two types of pasta stuffed with tasty ricotta.

The alfredo sauce was light. Not too greasy or salty, and with just the right amount of richness that you could still enjoy the taste of the lasagne rollette and large shell pasta it accompanied.

I added bacon from the salad bar. Again, you can never have enough bacon.
