Get Animated! Presented by the National Film Board of Canada and UFV

The National Film Board of Canada, in collaboration with UFV, presents Get Animated!

Join this cross-Canada celebration of the NFB’s latest animated films.

Come to a free 80-minute screening of some of “Canada’s finest (and funniest) animated films.”

Billed as “an eclectic collection of entertaining new animation films, ranging from the whimsical to the experimental,” the series promises to be great.

Following the screening meet Marv Newland, world-renowned animator and UFV faculty member. His short, CMYK, is one of the films presented. Other credits include Bambi meets Godzilla, one of the 50 greatest cartoons of all time.

The films will be followed by a special presentation by UFV’s Visual Arts instructor Marv Newland, director of the short film CMYK.

Tues, Nov 1
7–9 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm)
Abby, Room B101 (lecture theatre)

The NFB has indicated that this is not the Children’s Animation program. They recommend 12 and older attend as some of the content is about ‘dark’ subjects.
