Educational Stó:lō Feast & ceremony — March 30

Mon, March 30, 6pm

Aboriginal Gathering Place (Chwk A1457)

Are you interested in learning more about Stó:lō cultural practices? Join us on Mon, March 30 to witness a ceremony involving a group of UFV faculty and staff. The ceremony includes an explanation of what the ceremony is about and why things are done the way they are in Stó:lō ceremonies. It is an educational experience for all, and a safe setting for anyone interested to learn more. All you need to bring is a good heart and an open mind. In addition to people from UFV, you will get to hear (and see) traditional Stó:lō singers, drummers, speakers and other ceremonial helpers. The ceremony is followed by a potluck dinner. Come out and join in.
